I am fascinated and blown away. When first told about this novel, I was skeptical. I cannot tell you how many times I have fallen asleep with my tattered copy of A Seperate Peace open on my chest, and reading glasses crookedly perched on my nose. All through high school, and now in college, I was and am in love with A Seperate Peace. So when I first heard a rough sketch of the plot, I was convinced this was merely a carbon copy, rewritten to reach a new generation, tossing aside all of Knowles' beautiful prose. I can only humbly apologize for how wrong I was. Your writing is honestly one of the most beautiful combinations of poetry and prose, of emotionality and intellectual poignancy, that I have ever read. Your touches of insight into other pieces of literature astound me, your characters move me, your themes strike a chord in my heart and in the heart of humanity, and your book has a special place on my bookshelf. Thank you for this beautiful piece of literature.

Dear Cathie,
Thank you SO MUCH for writing. I'm here in North Carolina, and it's so affirming to know that the book is there, all the way across the country, with you. If I ever find my way to your neck of the woods, I'll let you know. In the meantime, happy reading.
Yours,
Jenny
